Celbi receives distinction from the European Commission

The Altri Group has been committed to sustainability for several decades, having been, through Celbi, one of the first national companies to be registered in EMAS, the Community eco-management system and audits. This mechanism aims to promote the continuous improvement of the environmental performance of organisations through the establishment and implementation of environmental management systems, as well as the provision of relevant information to the public and other stakeholders.

Celbi has been registered in EMAS since 2000, with the purpose of going beyond the ISO 14001 standard, which was certified in 1999, in what is the commitment of the company to continuously improve its environmental performance.

The company based in Figueira da Foz has a certified environmental management system that helps to prevent, limit and continuously reduce environmental impacts, as well as ensure that environmental legislation and other requirements supported by the company are met.

For this purpose, it establishes goals and periodically evaluates the environmental aspects associated with the company’s activity.
